The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian warehouse of missiles for the S-300 SAM system with the help of the M270 MLRS

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted in his daily evening message on Sept. 5 one of the artillery brigades that destroyed a Russian depot with missiles for SAM-300s. The occupiers were using these anti-aircraft missile systems to bombard the city of Kharkiv.
The warehouse was destroyed by an American M270 MLRS multiple-launch rocket system. Recall that it has two containers, each of which holds six high-precision GMLRS rounds of 227 mm caliber. The maximum launch range is 84 km.
The M270 MLRS is designed by Lockheed Martin and is based on the Bradley tracked chassis, which reduces the mobility compared to the M142 HIMARS based on the FMTV wheeled chassis. The combat vehicle has a top speed of 64 km/h on the highway and a range of 480 km.
