T72B3 on steroids - Ukrainian tankman told about the features of the rare Russian T-90M "Proryv" tank

After capturing the most advanced Russian T-90M "Proryv" tank, one of the Ukrainian tankers told about several features of the rare fighting machine.

Here's What We Know

According to the soldier, the ultra-modern "Proryv" tank is an improved version of the T-72B3. It is equipped with a new turret and received normal dynamic protection. The turret is distinguished by its optimal design, due to which the free space has been increased.

The T-90M "Proryv" is equipped with a barrel bend sensor and irradiation locking system. A more thoughtful arrangement of elements inside the tank is also noted. In particular, the crew has full access to the azimuth indicator. This was achieved due to the thermal imaging monitor being lifted upwards thanks to the elimination of the 1A40 sighting system.
