The AFU shot down Russian Su-30 and Su-34 fighters worth up to $50 million, a Su-25 attack aircraft, five drones and a cruise missile
A few hours ago we wrote that Ukrainian paratroopers shot down an Su-30 fighter jet and an Su-25 attack aircraft. But that is not the end of the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
As it turned out, the Russian military aviation was deprived of two Su-30 planes. One fighter is worth about $35 million. In addition to the Su-30, a Su-34 fighter jet was shot down, which costs between $36 million and $50 million. This is a relatively new aircraft. It was adopted into service in 2014.
Unlike the Su-30, which was shot down but continued to maneuver, the Su-30 was completely destroyed. It was hit by a missile from the Igla man-portable air defense system. The command of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine published a video (above) showing the fighter jet burning to the ground.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also eliminated five unmanned aerial vehicles. Which drones we are talking about is not yet known. Another destroyed target is a Russian cruise missile.
