Ukraine receives Crotale surface-to-air missile systems to strengthen air defense

France has transferred a new batch of Crotale-NG surface-to-air missile systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

France's plans to send short-range air defense systems to Ukraine became known last week. This was announced by Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.

Now French President Emmanuel Macron has confirmed that the Crotale-NG anti-aircraft missile systems have already been delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is not the first delivery. Earlier Ukraine received two batteries.

The Crotale-NG is a surface-to-air missile system aimed at destroying air targets at short range. The maximum range is 10 km, and the altitude is 6 km.
