Ukrainian Air Defense shot down 54 cruise missiles and 11 kamikaze drones in a few hours
On the morning of December 29, Ukraine was once again subjected to a massive missile strike. In a few hours, Russia fired nearly 70 cruise missiles and more than a dozen kamikaze drones.
Here's What We Know
Ukraine's air defense system showed 78% efficiency in repelling the missile attack. According to the Air Force Command, anti-aircraft missile units destroyed 54 of the 69 cruise missiles.

These include the X-101/Kh-555, launched by Tu-95MS strategic aircraft from Russian territory, and the Kalibr, carried by ships in the Black Sea. Russia also used Tu-22M3 aircraft to launch Kh-22 and Kh-32 cruise missiles along with Kh-31P anti-radar missiles.
In addition to the missiles, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 11 Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 drones. It is not known how many drones were launched in total.
