Germany transfers 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles along with 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine - WELT

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have received not only Leopard 2A6 tanks. The Marder infantry fighting vehicles, which were sent to Ukraine a few days ago, have also arrived.

The German newspaper WELT writes that not only 18 Leopard 2 tanks have been delivered to Ukraine, but also all the infantry fighting vehicles. This information has not yet been confirmed by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, nor by the German government, whose website publishes all military assistance.

It should be noted that it became known about sending the Marder to Ukraine a week ago. CNN wrote about it, citing German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius. If WELT writes the truth, Ukraine has received 40 infantry fighting vehicles produced by the German company Rheinmetall.

The Marder and Leopard 2 are not arriving in Ukraine empty-handed. Germany last week officially announced deliveries of 70 MG3 machine guns and spare parts.
