Denmark promises to send Ukraine Leopard 1 tanks "very soon"
The Danish Defence Ministry promises to send Ukraine the promised Leopard 1 tanks soon.
Here's What We Know
Acting Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen visited Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG) together with members of the Defence Committee and the Foreign Policy Council, which is completing the refurbishment of military equipment.
"I am very pleased to be able to invite parliamentary politicians to FFG so that they too can see how far we have come in the process of restoring Leopard 1 tanks. And we hope to be able to send them to Ukraine very soon," said the Acting Head of the Ministry of Defence.
Denmark is rebuilding Leopard 1A5 tanks for Ukraine as part of a joint project with the Netherlands. The countries will also provide the AFU with ammunition for these tanks and spare parts.
