Ukraine signs 3 new agreements with UAV manufacturer Bayraktar

Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industry Oleksandr Kamyshyn has been to Turkey, where he visited the international aviation exhibition Teknofest 2023. And he returned with good news.

Here's What We Know

According to the minister, Ukraine has signed three new agreements with Baykar, a Turkish manufacturer of Bayraktar strike drones.

"There is an important result - three new agreements with the Turkish manufacturer Baykar for Ukrainian manufacturers. Obviously, I will not tell the details, but I assure you that these contracts give our country export revenue and a new generation of weapons," Oleksander Kamyshyn wrote on social media.

What can we talk about? Baykar uses Ukrainian engines in its drones. For example, Al-450 and MS-500 engines are installed in Akıncı UAVs, and Al-322F - in Kızılelma. As for the "new generation weapons" the minister is talking about, it could be Bayraktar TB2 or even Akıncı and Kızılelma drones, as well as a new development, Kemankes cruise missile. The latter two have yet to enter serial production, but Akıncı is already being produced and supplied to the Turkish Armed Forces.
