US anti-tank missile destroys first ever helicopter - Javelin shoots down $16m Russian Ka-52

The Ukrainian Armed Forces recently shot down another Russian military helicopter. It is a case that stands out among hundreds of others.

The Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter worth approximately $16 million was hit. It was destroyed by Marines of the 36th separate brigade using a Javelin anti-tank missile system. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy.

This is the first time in history that a helicopter has been destroyed by a Javelin or any other American anti-tank missile. Unfortunately, no video of the defeat of the Ka-52 Alligator has yet been published.

Overall, the situation is not 100% unique. Back in the spring of 2022, a similar helicopter was destroyed by a Ukrainian-made Stugna-P anti-tank missile system.
