The US plans to supply Ukraine with cluster munitions for MLRS, these could be DPICM projectiles for HIMARS with a range of up to 45 km

The United States of America plans to supply Ukraine with a new type of ammunition.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about cluster munitions for multiple rocket launchers. This was reported by The Washington Post. It is not yet known what kind of shells we are talking about, but earlier Dan Rice, special adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny, spoke about DPICM (Dual-purpose improved conventional munition) for HIMARS.

DPICMs are capable of hitting targets up to 45 kilometres away. Rice believes that such warheads will make it possible to deliver crushing blows against Russian artillery and even defuse mined areas.
