When Belgium plans to transfer its F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets to Ukraine
In October this year, Belgium said that following the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, it would also transfer its F-16 Fighting Falcon jets to Ukraine. Now there is information about the timing of the delivery of the equipment.
When We Can Expect It
Unlike other allies, Belgium will not hand over its aircraft in 2024. According to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, the delivery of Belgian F-16 Fighting Falcon is scheduled for 2025. It is still unknown why it will take so long, but it can be assumed that Belgium will be able to deliver the aircraft only after it upgrades its fleet with newer F-35 fighters. By the way, Belgium has a total of 53 F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft in service in AM and BM modifications.
