Britain tested the Ghost V60 Quadruped combat robot

The British Army has tested the Ghost V60 Quadruped robotic dog. The manufacturer is Ghost Robotics.

Here's What We Know

The purpose of the tests is to evaluate the effectiveness of the robot in different conditions. Ghost V60 Quadruped can traverse difficult terrain in nature and urban environments. The robot has a maximum payload of 10 kg and a speed of 10.8 km/h.

The device does not have to get to the combat zone on its own. The robot can be dropped from an aircraft, and a safe landing will be provided by a parachute system. The Ghost V60 Quadruped is controlled by a remote control, but the robot is not able to function without an operator.

The device is equipped with a set of cameras, which provide a 360-degree angle of view. There is also the possibility of using LiDAR. Ghost V60 Quadruped body has protection against water and dust, so the robot can perform missions in different weather conditions. Its main task on the battlefield will be reconnaissance. By the way, the famous robot Spot from Boston Dynamics took part in the exercise.
