Germany found a new reason not to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

German authorities have come up with another reason why Germany can't hand over tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to Lars Klingbeil, co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party, the government coalition unanimously agreed not to supply Leopard 2s, as it would take a long time to train Ukrainian tankers.

Klingbeil notes that the long time to train soldiers and search for ammunition will lead to the fact that the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks will have no effect at the current stage of the war. The politician added that during training on the Panzerhaubitze 2000, Ukrainian soldiers themselves asked for longer training periods.
