Portal TurDef published photos of the construction of the flagship corvette for the Ukrainian Navy.
Here's What We Know
The corvette is being built in Istanbul at the RMK Marine shipyard. According to the photos, the hull of the Ada-class ship is already ready. The number F211, as well as the name "Hetman Ivan Mazepa" can be seen on board the ship.

The corvette, which is scheduled to join the Ukrainian Navy in 2024, seems ready to be launched soon and equipped with electronic systems.

The Ada is a type of coastal anti-submarine corvette developed for the Turkish Navy. The Turkish navy has already commissioned four of these corvettes and plans to commission several more in the near future. Ukraine signed a contract to build two corvettes in 2020. The first corvette is due to enter service with the Ukrainian Navy in 2023 or 2024. The Ada-type corvette is 99.5m long and can accommodate a crew of up to 93. The ship reaches a maximum speed of 29 knots.
