In late summer at the Defense and Security Exhibition 2022 in Bangkok, the Israeli company Elbit Systems unveiled a prototype multi-caliber D11A multiple rocket launcher system. It is designed specifically for Thailand and has already passed the first test.

Here's What We Know

Thailand's Defense Technology Institute has begun testing the Israeli multiple launch rocket system based on Elbit Systems' Precise & Universal Launching System (pictured and video). The tests took place at the Royal Army's Lopburi Artillery Range.

According to the Defense Technology Institute, the tests were conducted to test the performance and stability of the multiple launch rocket system. The tests also assessed the level of compliance of the D11A with the tactical requirements of the Armed Forces of the country. Based on the results, further research and development of the platform will be carried out.

The D11A launcher consists of two containers and is located on a 6x6 Tatra chassis. The launcher can use AccuLAR-122, AccuLAR-160, EXTRA and Predator Hawk missiles with launch ranges of 35 km, 40 km, 150 km and 300 km respectively.
