The French company Couach showed its new MAGELLAN surface drone at Euronaval 2022.
Here's What We Know
The drone has a six-meter modular body and a width of almost one and a half meters. The declared displacement of the MAGELLAN is 1,000 to 1,200 kg. The body of the drone is made of composite, carbon and kevlar. Thanks to this, it boasts durability and lightness. In addition, the manufacturer declares high speed on water, but what it is - no information.
The main objectives of MAGELLAN will be reconnaissance and electronic warfare. In addition, the drone will be able to detect and identify sea targets.
When We Can Expect It
MAGELLAN is still under development. When the full release of the drone will take place is still unknown.
