The CENTCOM Twitter account posted pictures of the submarine and General Michael Kurilla, head of U.S. Central Command. He said the USS West Virginia is the crown jewel of the nuclear triad.
The U.S. military rarely reveals the location of its submarines. Especially if they are close to enemy shores. The U.S. presumably revealed where the USS West Virginia is sailing to signal Iran and Russia, which has been threatening the world with nuclear weapons for more than six months.
