Poland will launch production of elements for M142 HIMARS and K239 Chunmoo
Polish defense industry will start supplying component parts for M142 HIMARS and K239 Chumoo.

The new project was announced by the Polish Ministry of Defense. The head of the ministry, Mariusz Błaszczak, signed the relevant framework agreement. This will be the second largest program for the Polish defense sector.

Production of chassis, reconnaissance vehicles, command and communications equipment for the American M142 HIMARS highly mobile artillery system and South Korean K239 Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher systems will be launched in Poland.
In the coming years, Poland will have several hundred missile systems from the U.S. and South Korea. In 2023, the Polish Army will receive 18 of the 288 K239 Chunmoo systems. In addition, more than 200 M142 HIMARS artillery systems will be delivered to Poland by the end of the decade.
