Israeli company Elbit Systems will help the German weapons manufacturer to modernize the MARS II multiple rocket launcher system.

Here's What We Know

Information about this appeared on the official website of Elbit Systems. The companies signed a memorandum of cooperation in June of this year. Unfortunately, there are no details about the modernization and the timing of the project yet.

MARS II is the European modernization of the American M270 MLRS multiple rocket launcher system. The MLRS is made on a tracked base and is designed to carry out combat missions of engaging and destroying from closed firing positions. It can be used at any time of day and in any weather conditions. The MARS II is equipped with an upgraded Airbus Defence and Space fire control system, which allows the use of M31, M31A1, M32 and AT2 missiles. The range of the MLRS is up to 70 km. By the way, the Ukrainian army is now using MARS II in the fight against Russian invaders.
