Turkish army received the first batch of 105mm BORAN howitzers, they are deployed in 1 minute and can fire up to 17 km

The Turkish Armed Forces received their first batch of lightweight towed BORAN 105mm howitzers.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the Ministry of Defense of the country. The howitzer passed 24 tests. It deploys in 1 minute and can be transported by air.

The maximum range of target engagement is 17 km. BORAN is capable of firing up to six rounds per minute. The howitzer is equipped with Aselsan fire control system, as well as electro-optical and laser rangefinder. Thanks to them it can shoot during the day and at night.
