The information was shared by Daily Sabah, citing local media. North Macedonia will buy three batteries of howitzers from Turkey. That is, we are talking about 18 cannons. The purchase of BORAN is part of the rearmament of the Northern Macedonian army after joining NATO. The first deliveries of howitzers will start in two years.

The BORAN is a Turkish 105mm towed howitzer. It is capable of firing up to six rounds per minute. The howitzer is equipped with an Aselsan fire control system, as well as an electro-optical and laser rangefinder. Thanks to them it can shoot during the day and at night. The maximum range of targets is 17 km.
