Boeing gets $1.9bn to produce AH-64E Apache helicopters, AGM-114R Hellfire missiles and APKWS-GS
Boeing has been contracted to produce the first AH-64E Apache helicopters for the US Army and allies. The company will supply them along with anti-tank missiles.

The US manufacturer has been awarded a contract for 184 helicopters. The amount was $1.9 billion and could rise to $3.8 billion. The agreement involves production of the first AH-64E Apache helicopters for Australia.
The U.S. Department of State has approved the procurement of 29 helicopters for the Australian Army in 2021 at a cost of $3.5 billion. The U.S. Army will receive 115 AH-64E Apache helicopters with the option to activate an option to buy another 15 helicopters.
Since 1984, the US Army and its allies have received more than 2,500 AH-64E Apache helicopters. The new contract involves the delivery of attack helicopters along with AGM-114R Hellfire and APKWS-GS anti-tank missiles.
