Ukraine counts on German Eurofighter Typhoon fourth generation fighters
The Ukrainian Armed Forces should receive US F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters this year. Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that Eurofighter Typhoons would also be helpful to the Air Force.
Here's What We Know
According to the head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Ukraine needs 120 fighters. The main part will be formed by American F-16 Fighting Falcon jets, but Eurofighter Typhoons could also help. The same applies to Swedish Gripen fighters.
This spring, Germany and Britain ruled out supplying Eurofighter Typhoons for the foreseeable future. But, in the opinion of Oleksii Reznikov, Western countries could still form a coalition to supply Ukraine with F-16s, Gripen and Eurofighter Typhoons, as was done with Leopard 2, Challenger 2 and M1 Abrams tanks.
