US blocks sale of two dozen M142 HIMARS missile systems and over a hundred GMLRS rounds to Hungary, worth $765 million

According to The Washington Post, the sale of HIMARS and GMLRS to Hungary was blocked by Senator James Risch. He chairs the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The official said Hungary must approve Sweden's entry into NATO if it wants HIMARS.

The Washington Post writes that the decision to block the sale is due to growing dissatisfaction with Hungarian policy. Normally, James Risch rarely blocks US arms sales to other countries.
