The M142 HIMARS missile system destroyed a rare Russian Zoo-1 radar station
Special operations forces and Ukrainian artillery destroyed a rare Zoopark-1 (Zoo-1) radar station. It was hit with a HIMARS missile system.
Here's What We Know
Although the Russian defence ministry has destroyed more HIMARS in its reports than Ukraine has received, US missile systems continue to destroy Russian military hardware and equipment. A counter-battery radar station was eliminated near Bakhmut by a high-precision GMLRS missile hit.
#Ukraine: A Russian 1L259 Zoopark-1 counter-battery radar was taken out of action by a GMLRS strike of the Ukrainian army near Bakhmut, #Donetsk Oblast.

The video above shows the defeat of two Russian vehicles. The second target of the US M142 HIMARS missile system was probably the R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare station.
The Zoo-1 system is designed for reconnaissance and detection of enemy ground artillery systems. The radar system is capable of detecting artillery positions and the trajectory of missiles.
The radar is mounted on the MT-LB tracked chassis. According to the Russian developers, the system can detect 120-mm mortars, 105/155-mm howitzers and multiple launch rocket systems at distances up to 17 km, up to 12 km and up to 45 km respectively.
