ULAQ KAMA is a Turkish unmanned kamikaze strike boat with a range of over 360 kilometres and a speed of up to 40 km/h
Another new product from the Turkish defence industry was announced at IDEF 2023 in Turkey. ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defence unveiled the ULAQ KAMA kamikaze surface drone.

The maritime drone is designed to protect Turkey's territorial waters and defend the country's maritime interests. The drone can carry up to 200kg of payload, but it doesn't necessarily have to be explosives. The company said that the drone is capable of operating not only in kamikaze mode, but also performing reconnaissance or surveillance missions.

The 1,300-kilogram ULAQ KAMA is more than 6.3 metres long and 1.2 metres wide. The maritime suicide drone can reach speeds of nearly 40 km/h and has a range of more than 360 kilometres. According to the developers, the seaworthiness is 4 points.
The detonation of the warhead can be carried out by signal or direct contact with the target. ULAQ KAMA is able to work both under the control of the operator and completely without human participation.
The cost of the new maritime kamikaze drone is not specified. ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defence have said they are ready to deliver up to 100 units of ULAQ KAMA within a year.
