AN/TWQ-1 Avenger SAMs, TOW APCs and M864 cluster munitions: what will be included in the new $325m US military aid package has been revealed
On September 20, it became known that the USA was preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine. The Reuters news agency, citing its source, found out what will be included in it.
What to Expect
So, the new aid package will be designed for $325 million. It will include additional short-range AN/TWQ-1 Avenger surface-to-air missile systems. In addition, the AFU will receive a new batch of TOW and AT4 anti-tank systems, as well as missiles for HIMARS, Javelin and M864 cluster munitions of 155 mm calibre.
The new aid package will be announced during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky's visit to the White House on September 21.
As for ATACMS ballistic missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometres, according to the source, they are not in the new package, but by the time of the announcement, the list of weapons may change.
