Flashback

MIM-23 Hawk is an American medium-range surface-to-air missile system. It was developed in 1954-1960 by the Raytheon company. In 1960 it was adopted into service and since then has received many modifications and improvements. The US Army stopped operating the MIM-23 Hawk in 2002. In total, more than 40,000 SAMs were produced. The MIM-23 Hawk is capable of intercepting missiles and aircraft. The probability of hitting the target is 85% (in the I-Hawk modification). The maximum range of the complex is 50 kilometres.
