Official: Spain transfers Hawk SAM launchers and ammunition for artillery to Ukraine

In addition to the US, Germany and the UK, Ukraine will also receive a new arms package from Spain.

The information was shared by the Spanish Ministry of Defence, Eurointegration reports. The new aid package will include six launchers for Hawk surface-to-air missile systems. They are planned to be integrated into the existing battery of air defence systems, which was earlier transferred to Ukraine by the USA.

In addition, Spain will send the Ukrainian Armed Forces ammunition for artillery of 155 mm and 105 mm calibre, as well as heavy machine guns to combat Russian drones. The arms deliveries should start soon.
