The US secretly transferred ATACMS ballistic missiles with a target range of 165 kilometres to Ukraine, the AFU used them to attack Russian airfields
The United States of America has transferred ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
This was revealed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address. According to The Wall Street Journal, the United States secretly sent a small batch of missiles to Ukraine. We are talking about the version of the missile MGM-140A ATACMS BLK 1 SN. 411240 with M74 cluster submunitions. The range of such a missile is 165 kilometres.
There is no information yet on how exactly the AFU launches ATACMS. Presumably, the United States could supply the AFU with special HIMARS or M270 launchers for this purpose.
Big thanks to MGM-140A ATACMS BLK 1 SN. 411240 for gifting the Russian-occupied Berdyansk airfield with several hundred APAM bomblets. https://t.co/DlJCsZbVT0 pic.twitter.com/yz6Up7bnSv

Incidentally, Ukrainian defence forces used ATACMS missiles for the first time during today's attack on Russian airfields. During Operation Dragonfly, the AFU destroyed 9 Russian helicopters, an air defence system and ammunition depots.
