Germany tells when Ukraine will receive second Patriot SAM system
We have already written many times that Germany plans to transfer a new battery of Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine. Now it has become known when the AFU will receive the armament.
When We Can Expect It
According to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the delivery of SAMs will begin in the near future and by the end of the year the system will be on combat duty. By the way, this will be the second Patriot battery to be delivered by Germany. Ukraine also received a battery from the United States and other allies. One SAM division includes up to eight launchers, radar, transport and loading vehicles, as well as communication and control vehicles.

The MIM-104 Patriot is an air defence missile system developed by the American company Raytheon. It consists of an air interception missile and a high-performance radar system. The probability of hitting an aircraft is 0.8-0.9, a tactical missile 0.6-0.8. The cost of one missile is about $3 million.
