US may transfer ATACMS ballistic missiles with increased range to Ukraine

Last autumn, the USA secretly transferred to Ukraine a small number of MGM-140A ATACMS ballistic missiles with a range of 165 km. Now there is information on the Internet that the AFU may receive an improved version of the missile.

Here's What We Know

This was told by the TV channel NBC News, referring to several US officials. We are talking about ATACMS with a range of up to 300 km.

According to officials, if Congress approves funding for Ukraine, the US could include long-range ATACMS in one of the first military aid packages paid for with the money. If approval of new financial aid to Ukraine fails, however, the U.S. may ask allies to transfer such ATACMS to Ukraine.
