Media: Windows 12 will indeed be released in 2024 - Intel's CFO hinted at it
In September, Citi 2023 Global Technology Conference was held in New York, where the information about the release date of Windows 12 may have been heard.
Here's What We Know
During his keynote, Intel CFO Dave Zinsner said that his company expects strong financial performance in 2024 and linked it to some sort of major update from Microsoft.
We think 2024 will be a very good year for customers, particularly because of the Windows update. And we still think that the installed base is quite old and needs to be updated, and we think next year could be the start of that process, given the incentivising role of Windows. So we're optimistic about how things will unfold in '24.
It is known that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 11 from 10 October 2023, which will technically allow the corporation to focus on producing the next version of its operating system.
It's too early to say definitively that Windows 12 will be released in 2024, but the words of Intel's director are difficult to interpret otherwise. Especially since this date has been in the news about Windows 12 before.
