During Opening Night Live, Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition
Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live is taking place right now, and we've already been shown several projects, including Starfied and Little Nightmares III, as well as a new trailer and the release of Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition for Xbox:
Here's What We Know
The console versions of Age of Empires IV have received individual settings for the Xbox wireless controller, with a user interface specially designed for consoles. In order to make it easier for new players to get acquainted with the series, Relic Entertainment has introduced a new tutorial to the console versions of Age of Empires IV.
Another significant change that appeared in Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is the priority system for villagers. Relic Entertainment describes it as "a completely new system aimed at speeding up gameplay". Players can now easily assign specific resource gathering tasks to their villagers with the click of a button.
The Xbox version of the game supports resolutions of up to 4K on Xbox Series X, 1080p on Xbox Series S, 1440p on Xbox One X, and 900p on other Xbox One models. Additionally, the Xbox Series X provides 60 frames per second, the Series S supports up to 60 frames per second, and the version for regular Xboxes runs at 30 frames per second.
Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is now available on the Microsoft Store and Game Pass.
