Forza Motorsport supports three graphics modes on Xbox Series X, including 60 fps with Ray Tracing enabled

This autumn, Forza Motorsport, the newest instalment of the Forza franchise racing simulator, will be released. Several publications and bloggers have published previews of the game, and now it's been revealed which graphics modes Forza Motorsport supports on Xbox Series X/S.

Here's What We Know

On Xbox Series X, the game has three graphics modes:

  • Performance - 4K and 60 fps
  • Performance with Ray Tracing enabled - dynamic 4K, ray tracing and 60 fps
  • Quality - 4K, ray tracing and 30 fps

Interestingly, Gran Turismo 7 (PlayStation exclusive), a competitor to Forza Motorsport, does not have a mode that allows you to play at 60 fps with ray tracing enabled, but you can run the game at 120 fps. In any case, Turn 10 studio has tried hard to optimise the game, as critics have noted that they did not notice any frame loss during the game.

On Xbox Series S, the game has two graphics modes:

  • Performance - dynamic resolution and 60 fps
  • Quality - "maximum resolution" and 30 fps

VGC noted that there was also no noticeable frame loss on the Series S.

When We Can Expect It

Forza Motorsport will be released on 10 October on PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also be included in the Game Pass subscription from the first day.

Flashback

Forza Motorsport will offer more than 500 real cars (including sports cars), various tracks, dynamic weather, and unique events. Players will have access to the single-player Builders Cup career mode and online races with various competitions. Or you can create your own races and compete with your friends.
