The mystery is solved: Shapeshifter Games assists inXile Entertainment in the development of Clockwork Revolution
The newly created Shapeshifter Games studio, which includes former Volition employees, made its public debut at the same time as presenting its first project - a collaboration with Xbox Game Studios. The mystery surrounding the game has now been solved.

Here's What We Know
inXile Entertainment announced on its Twitter account that Shapeshifter Games is actively involved in the development of Clockwork Revolution. Both studios can trace their lineage back to Interplay Entertainment, of course, with the first Volition games - FreeSpace and, like Parallax Software, the Descent games - being published by Interplay.
Brian Fargo, Head of Studio at inXile, emphasised the importance of this collaboration, stating:
"This one is special for us because of my long history with them, going back to the Descent and FreeSpace games".
Here's What We Know
Clockwork Revolution was announced by Microsoft and inXile Entertainment in June last year and was described as a "time-bending steampunk first-person role-playing game". The game is set in the steamy metropolis of Avalon. The game promises complex role-playing mechanics and a narrative-oriented system of choices and consequences, among other features.
Where To Play
Clockwork Revolution will be available for Xbox Series and PC.
