The €1399 Xiaomi 13 Pro lost out to the €599 Google Pixel 7 in the DxOMark camera test
The Xiaomi 13 Pro recently debuted on the global market. Two weeks after the announcement, it was tested by the DxOMark lab. The flagship's camera did not perform at its best.
Here's What We Know
The Xiaomi 13 Pro is equipped with three 50 MP modules. The main one uses a 1" optical sensor and has optical image stabilisation. The DxOMark report says that the flagship has no visible flaws, but sometimes the smartphone gets the exposure wrong, which spoils the picture. Also, ghosting sometimes appears in the photo.
On the other hand, the experts appreciated the accurate white balance and the telephoto lens, which has a zoom of 3x without loss of quality. The smartphone is also capable of shooting video, if you close your eyes to the occasional problems with auto-focus.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro scored 136 points and equalled the vivo X90 Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. All three of them placed at the bottom of the second ten. Notably, the Chinese company's novelty, which costs €1299 / 1399 depending on the country, lost out to the €599 Google Pixel 7. Also note that the 2021 Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra scored 141 points and has been Xiaomi's top smartphone in DxOMark's camera phone rankings for almost two years now.
