Xiaomi 13 launched in Europe - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, IP68, 120Hz display and 8K UHD support from €999
The Xiaomi 13 debuted in Europe two and a half months after its presentation in China. The next-generation flagship was announced at MWC 2023 in Barcelona.
Here's What We Know
The Xiaomi 13 features an OLED screen with a built-in fingerprint scanner and a small hole for a 32MP selfie camera. The display has a 6.36" diagonal, Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), brightness up to 1900 nits, and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and 120Hz frame rate. Protection is provided by Gorilla Glass 5.
The hardware is built around the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile chip with a 3.2GHz peak clock speed and Adreno 740 graphics core. The battery charges in 38 minutes by wire and 48 minutes wirelessly. The power output is 67 watts and 50 watts respectively. The battery has a capacity of 4500mAh.
The Xiaomi 13 has a relatively modest main camera, but it is versatile. There's a standard 50 MP (f/1.8, 1/1.49", 1µm) module with OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle (f/2.2, 120 degrees) and a 10 MP telephoto lens (f/2, 1/3.75", 1µm) with OIS and a 3.2x zoom without loss of quality. Videos can be shot in 8K at 24 FPS, 4K at 60 FPS and Full HD at 1920 FPS.
The developers have installed stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.3, WI-Fi 7, GPS, NFC and USB-C in the Xiaomi 13. The casing has IP68 protection. The novelty will be powered by Android 13 operating system with MIUI 14 shell.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The novelty will be available in black, white and green body colours. Xiaomi 13 buyers will be able to use 2TB of Google One storage for free for 6 months. The Xiaomi 13 is priced at €999. By comparison, Xiaomi 13 - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 512GB of storage, IP68 and a wide color palette - for $575.
