Xiaomi unveils Smart Band 8 sports bracelet priced from $35

One of the most anticipated new additions to Xiaomi's big presentation was a sports bracelet. The new generation model is called the Xiaomi Smart Band 8.

Here's What We Know

The fitness bracelet has a 1.62" AMOLED display with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch and brightness up to 600 nits. The screen supports Always-on and has a refresh rate of 60Hz.

All the basic features are in place. Xiaomi Smart Band 8 can count steps, detect heart rate and analyse sleep quality. The sports bracelet can be attached to your running shoes to get more information while running, including foot strike force and stride length.

In total, the device supports over 150 workout modes, including boxing (not available before). A SpO2 sensor to detect blood oxygen saturation levels is also present.

According to the manufacturer, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 can run for 16 days without recharging. If you activate Always-on mode, the operating time is reduced to 6 days.

The body of the bracelet is made of metal. One of the innovations is a new attachment system that allows you to hang the capsule with electronics on a chain and wear it around your neck.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 goes on sale in China for $35 and $40 (NFC). Both versions will increase in price by a few dollars in the future.
