Google changes sound and animation at YouTube launch

YouTube is launching a new sound when you launch the app that is very similar to that of Netflix. Hardly many people have noticed it, but if you try to launch the app on your TV or PlayStation 5, you will definitely hear the new "tudum". For some reason, it's not available on Apple TV yet.

In its blog, Google says that the sound was created in collaboration with Antfood studio. Google also detailed the work it did with creative company Buck to create the accompanying animation for startups, which really looks great.

According to the blog post, the new sound and animation will start rolling out to all users "in a few weeks or months".
