Dying Light 2 will have 40 thousand lines of dialogue (the same number in the novel "Anna Karenina")

The developers of Dying Light 2 Stay Human at Techland have revealed that the game will feature a huge amount of dialogue. There are 350,000 words written for the game 40 thousand lines of dialogue. This is the same as in Leo Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina.

By comparison, Skyrim has 60,000 lines of voiced dialogue, while Red Dead Redemption 2 boasts over 500,000 lines of dialogue. Mass Effect 3 has the same number as Dying Light 2 - 40,000. The word count of 350,000 puts the game on par with games like Fable 2, Shenmue, and Final Fantasy VII.

Following claims that Dying Light 2 will run for 500 hours, which the developers later explained is not mandatory play time. Techland decided to continue to talk about the huge size of the game.

Dying Light 2 launches February 4th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Nintendo Switch version postponed.
