The developers of the NFT mining service in Minecraft sold tokens for $1,200,000 in 8 minutes and disappeared
This year appeared information about the creation of a special service in Minecraft, which will allow gamers to earn NFTs during the game with the possibility of selling them in the future. The service was called Blockverse, and its creators, with a high degree of probability, turned out to be scammers.
Players had to buy NFTs to access the service. Sales opened on January 24th. The developers created 10,000 non-fungible tokens. All NFTs sold out in 8 minutes. The income of the authors of Blockverse amounted to $1,200,000. However, after that, the creators of the project disappeared.
Last record in the Twitter account of the project was published on January 24. Actually, she announced the launch of the service. Minecraft players have reported that it never launched. The official website and Blockverse Discord server have been shut down.
User @illiquidassets informed on Twitter that he lost $ 26,000. He notes that he helped Blockverse developers with marketing and promotion of the project, and the reward was to be a refund of funds spent on NFT.
According to user @Kashx, the authors of the project stopped communicating with the players after receiving a large number of negative reviews, up to threats against the backdrop of an unsuccessful launch of the service.
