Justin Bieber spent $1,300,000 to buy an NFT image of a monkey

Justin Bieber purchased a non-fungible token from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection for over $1,000,000.
The Canadian singer bought NFT #3001. The cost of the art token was 500 Ethereum, or approximately $1,300,000 at the exchange rate at the time of purchase. The high price of NFT is due to its rarity.
Object #3001 is an image of a bored monkey on a New Punk Blue background, which can only be found in 12% of NFTs. The monkey is dressed in a black T-shirt (3%) has a dark brown coat (14%) and unshaven (16%).
Recall that Bored Ape Yacht Club is the most expensive NFT collection. It is built on the Ethereum blockchain and includes 10,000 images of monkeys. The rarest non-fungible token costs $3,100,000,000.
