Despite technical problems, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition sold 10 million copies

Launched back in November, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has been plagued with a number of technical issues that have drawn a lot of criticism from fans. But that didn't stop the game from selling very well.

Take-Two released its quarterly earnings report in which the company stated that the trilogy "significantly exceeded our commercial expectations".

According to VGC, the re-release of the GTA trilogy sold 10 million copies - and that's just from November to December, not counting what was sold in January and early February.

Despite the launch issues, Take-Two was remorseful and committed to fixing the trilogy's problems. Several major updates have already been released, and more are expected in the future. A possible mobile version for Android and iOS is also expected in the first half of this year.

Just last week, Rockstar Games announced that new GTA game is in development.
