Canadian scientists named the most “smartphone dependent” countries in the world

Researchers at McGill University have published a list of countries whose residents are most affected by smartphone addiction. The rating includes 24 states.

What is known

As expected, the People's Republic of China is in the lead. South Korea closes the top five, but Japan is only in 15th position. The top three were Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, and the fourth was Brazil.

The first European country on the list is Turkey. She placed eighth. The top 24 includes several European countries: Italy (11th place), Serbia (14th place), Great Britain (16th place), Romania (19th place), Belgium, Switzerland, France from Germany (with 21st to 24th places).

As part of the study, Canadian experts interviewed almost 34,000 people, whose average age was about 29 years. 60% of respondents are women.
