FromSoftware is actively working to launch Dark Souls PC servers after hacking in January.

A Reddit Relevant-Heart-1751 user received an email from Bandai Namco stating that the servers would be up and running as soon as possible.

A user contacted Bandai Namco to ask if Dark Souls servers would ever work after the exploit allowed attackers to remotely connect to other gamers' PCs.

"I am pleased to confirm that the developers are actively working to resolve this issue and restart Dark Souls for PC servers as soon as possible," the e-mail said.

Recall that in January this year, a dangerous exploit of remote code execution (RCE), discovered in Dark Souls 3, allowed the attacker to gain control over the player's computer. After the incident, the servers for the compatible game were suspended.
