Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of ATGM "Fagot" destroyed a rare T-62M tank with a "barbecue" on the tower
Recently, photographs of reactivated Russian T-62M tanks with a "barbecue" on the turret began to appear on the network. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already destroying them at the front.
What is known
Russian troops decided to modernize the rare T-62M by installing improvised protection in the form of bars on the roof. They were immediately nicknamed "brazier". One T-62M tank was destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using the Fagot missile system. The fighters filmed the shot from the ATGM, apparently with a smartphone, and a drone recorded the moment the projectile hit the tank.
Recall that the age of the tanks will soon correspond to their name. In 2022, the T-62M turns 60, but this does not prevent the Russian Federation from sending them to Ukraine. The main reason is the heavy losses in armored vehicles.
