Armed Forces of Ukraine showed in action anti-aircraft missile system "Osa-AKM"
A video appeared on social networks with the combat use of the Osa-AKS anti-aircraft missile system by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
What is known
It was designed to cover the forces and means of a motorized rifle or tank division in all types of combat operations. The video demonstrates how the Osa-AKM reacts to an enemy target.
The anti-aircraft missile system was adopted by the USSR in 1971. A conventional air defense system is equipped with four 9 M33 guided missiles. The video shows a modification of the Osa-AKM with six 9 M33M3 missiles.
It is distinguished by an extended kill zone (1.5-10.3 km in range and 10-5000 m in height) and improved resolution of the SOC all-round view indicator in azimuth and range. In addition, in Osa-AKS, the probability of triggering a radio fuse from the ground has been reduced and the accuracy of missile guidance has been increased. The anti-aircraft missile system can destroy targets that move on the ground at a speed of up to 500 m/s and in the air at a speed of up to 300 m/s.
