Just over 20% of Steam users use Windows 11

Share of devices with Windows 11 among users Steam increased by 20% in June, increasing by 1.64% to 21.23%. Despite the fact that Windows 10 is still the most popular OS (71.26% of the total polled), the jump could mean that Windows 11 is finally starting to catch on among gamers after becoming available to the general public late last year. This could be because many problematic bugs and unpleasant features were fixed after the release.

Some, however, may be surprised that Windows 11 only managed to climb to a 20% market share nine months after its release. First, this is surprising because Microsoft has been heavily promoting Windows 1 as a gaming OS.
