The U.S. sees no signs of drone deliveries to Russia, but has threatened Iran with sanctions just in case
Russia's armed forces want Iranian drones, but the U.S. is threatening Iran with sanctions.
What is known
The Speaker of the State Department of the United States Ned Price (Ned Price) stated that the USA is ready to strengthen sanctions against Iran if it starts supplying its strike drones to Russia. In particular, earlier the talk was about drones Shahed 191 and Shahed 129.
Price stressed that the United States is concerned about the possibility of transferring unmanned technologies to Russia and will continue to monitor the situation. The U.S. maintains all sanctions against Iran, and is prepared to strengthen them immediately if drones are sent to Russia. Price also said that other countries will join the sanctions.
At the same time, the White House has yet to see any signs that Iran is supplying its strike drones to Russia, despite Putin's recent visit. This was reported by John Kirby (john Kirby), a Pentagon spokesman.
